So the big talk in the news has been about the Stimulus Program, so what does
that mean to you? If you are a first time homebuyer, the government is offering a
tax rebate for the purchase of a new home within the 2009 calendar year. Here are
some of the hot points:

Tax Credit at a Glance

• Tax Credit is available to buyers who have not owned a principal residence
in the last 3 years.
• The maximum credit amount is $8,000.
• The credit is available for homes purchased from Jan. 1, 2009 thru Nov. 30, 2009
• Single taxpayers with incomes up to $75,000 and married couples with
incomes up to $150,000 qualify for the full tax credit.
•The tax credit does not have to be repaid.
